In just 82 appearances with the Red Devils, the winger achieved just 12 goals and 6 assists before being banished from the first squad due to a public split with manager Erik ten Hag in September.
His “performances in training” caused Ten Hag to leave him out of his squad for the crucial Premier League match against Arsenal.
The England international subsequently retaliated on social media, accusing the Dutch strategist of using him as a “scapegoat”.
The 23-year-old returned to Dortmund on loan after failing to make it back to the first squad.
Sancho has rejoined BVB at Signal Iduna Park till the end of the current campaign, after a deal without a buyout option.
The £3 million loan fee was paid by the Bundesliga powerhouses, who will also partially fund the Manchester City academy graduate’s salary.
Haaland, the former star of Dortmund, was overjoyed to see Sancho go back to his old haunts, where he will have the opportunity to regain his former form.
The star striker spent a year in Germany playing with United’s struggling ace, who produced a stunning 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 outings.
The Norway international then celebrated that decision by posting a photo of Sancho wearing the Dortmund shirt again on social media.
Instagram users saw Haaland’s caption as “Beautiful.”
The joint-leading goal scorer in the Premier League also saw great success during his two years at Dortmund, when he became a worldwide celebrity.
The former Red Bull Salzburg player joined City in 2022 after agreeing to a £51 million contract, having scored 86 goals and provided 23 assists in 89 games.
