After “perfect” trolls pointed out a spelling error in a birthday message from the singer, ERLING HAALAND issued a lighthearted apologies.
This week, Manchester City experienced a significant boost when the striker eventually resumed training alongside his teammates.
The 23-year-old has not played since sustaining a stress injury to his foot during the December 6 1-0 loss at Aston Villa.
But he started the day in a good mood despite not being risked for tonight’s FA Cup match victory over Tottenham.
Erling Haaland sent Man City’s physio this birthday message on Instagram
He then sarcastically apologised after busy-bodies pointed out his spelling error
Mario Pafundi, City’s physiotherapist, has been keeping a close eye on Haaland during his rehabilitation.
Today was the Italian’s birthday. He and Pep Guardiola both joined the team in 2016.
And Haaland wanted to praise him on Instagram for all of his support in getting him back into shape.
He posted a picture of a beaming Pafundi on his account, writing, “Happy birthday to the best fysio in the world.”
But it appears that some of his 38.1 million followers made the decision to get active and call him out on his error.
And Haaland could not resist responding to them, instead of letting it rest.
“Oh we live in a perfect world everybody is perfect,” the former Borussia Dortmund player tweeted with a serious selfie of himself with his hair down.
I apologize; I meant physio.
As long as he keeps hammering home goals for City, they won’t give a damn about his spelling or punctuation.
Haaland led City to the Triple Crown last season with an amazing 52 goals.
When he eventually lines up for the Cityzens once more this term, he will be eager to add to his haul of 19.
