Homecoming: Andre Onana Back in Manchester United Fold After Cameroon Campaign

Manchester United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, has confirmed the return of Andre Onana to the squad for the upcoming clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday.

Following what has been described as a ‘disastrous’ campaign with the Cameroon national team, Onana is making his way back to Manchester United. Manager Ten Hag expressed confidence in the goalkeeper, indicating his inclusion in the squad for the Premier League game against Wolves at Molineux.

The news of Onana’s return comes after he missed United’s recent FA Cup fourth-round victory over Newport County, where Altay Bayindir made his debut. This marked the first game Onana missed since joining from Inter Milan in the summer.

As the 27-year-old goalkeeper prepares to return from international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, Ten Hag hinted at Onana reclaiming his position between the sticks against Wolves.

Despite Bayindir’s composed debut, Ten Hag acknowledged the strengths Onana brings to the team and anticipates his return for the crucial clash in the Premier League.
