Garnacho nets a brace for MU: Celebrates akin to Ronaldo, ‘irking’ Messi’s close companion

In the 49th minute of the MU vs. West Ham match, Alejandro Garnacho scored a goal, bringing the score to 2-0 for the “Red Devils.” The young Argentinian star celebrated by running to the corner of the field, sitting with his arms crossed on the billboard, exuding pride.

In the 84th minute, Garnacho repeated this celebration after scoring again, securing the final score of 3-0 and completing his double. It’s evident that this is the well-known celebration performed by Cristiano Ronaldo during his time at Real Madrid in 2017.

Having worked alongside Ronaldo at MU during the 2021-2022 period, Garnacho openly admires CR7 and frequently imitates the Portuguese superstar’s celebration style. Interestingly, the 19-year-old player is currently teammates with Lionel Messi in the Argentina national team.

Angel Di Maria, who has played alongside both Ronaldo (at Real Madrid) and Messi (Argentina), cautioned Garnacho against emulating CR7’s celebration. Instead, Di Maria encouraged Garnacho to follow in the footsteps of his close friend Messi. “The only thing I don’t do is celebrate like Cristiano. I score and will celebrate like Messi. I am always steadfast with that,” Di Maria declared in Ole newspaper not long ago.

However, Garnacho seems unfazed by Di Maria’s warning as he continues to celebrate in the style of his “idol” Ronaldo.
