Klopp Provides Update on Jota’s Injury: “Diogo’s Condition Appears to be the Most Serious”

Klopp on Jota: “Diogo looks probably the worst; I didn’t see it back but I heard the pictures didn’t look great as well, so we have to see there.”

Liverpool is waiting to assess the severity of Diogo Jota’s injury. Last night, sources from Portugal revealed that Jota will have to be sidelined for two months. Today, the number 20 forward will undergo further examination to determine the exact length of his absence.

Although initial assessments suggest that the injury is not serious, he is expected to return in the final matches of the season and will not miss Euro 2024. Two years ago, Jota was unable to participate in the 2022 World Cup due to injury.

Curtis Jones’ injury is less severe than Jota’s, and the team is conducting a more detailed evaluation to determine the duration of his absence.

Yesterday, an Egyptian TV presenter even disclosed that Mo Salah has suffered a recurrence of an injury and will not be able to play in the match against Luton. However, this information has not been verified.

We will have a clearer picture of the players’ injury situation in Jurgen Klopp’s press conference tomorrow.
