Join us in our latest installment of the “A Day With…” video series as we delve into the life of Alexis Mac Allister, both on and off the football field. Presenter Rubi Deschamps takes us on a journey following the Liverpool midfielder, capturing his adjustment to life in Merseyside after his transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023.
During our visit to Mac Allister’s home, we uncover his love for mate tea, a habit he is now trying to introduce to his fellow Reds teammates. “I bought one for Ibou [Ibrahima Konate], Dom [Szoboszlai], and [Kostas] Tsimikas as well,” reveals the talented number 10. “Dom is the only one who finds it appealing. Every morning when I arrive, he always asks for some mate. I gladly share it with him.”
“For me, it’s a way to connect and share something meaningful, even if it may mean nothing to them.” In another article, Mac Allister opens up about his thoughts on Argentina’s victorious 2022 World Cup campaign and the peculiar aftermath that ensued.
Amidst an impressive debut season at Liverpool, he expresses his desire to complement his collection of cherished mementos with more trophies in the near future. The 25-year-old shares, “Perhaps this year, we can set our sights on the Premier League and Europa League.”
“I believe that to attain what you desire, you must work for it, and this group excels at that. In my opinion, we have a winning mentality. I joined a team that is committed to competing and succeeding. The fact that they are good people is also crucial.”
“I think this group wants to take it step by step, game by game. However, we are aware of our strong chances of winning silverware. Naturally, our objective is to win as much as possible. But to achieve that, we must continue to strive, progress, and give our best.”
“Do we aim to triumph? Absolutely, in every aspect. However, we must remain focused day by day, give our all, and keep improving. Only then can we truly evaluate our progress.”
