The Texas Rangers defeated the Rays 4-1, with Eovaldi’s name being consistently called out by fans from the stands

Eovaldi, now 1-0 for the season, allowed only four hits and one walk while throwing 103 pitches. Following his impressive 5-0 record during the Rangers’ postseason journey to last year’s World Series title, the 34-year-old right-hander has maintained a stellar 1.38 ERA, conceding just two runs in 13 innings this season.
