According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan has started negotiations in hopes of securing the signature of forward Anthony Martial from MU on a free transfer.

Forward Anthony Martial has not contributed much to MU this season due to injury. At the moment, he has not been able to return to play and is believed to have played his last match for the Red Devils. The former Monaco star’s contract with Old Trafford expires at the end of this season. Not long ago, MU confirmed that they would not extend Martial’s contract.

Although not contributing much to MU, Martial is still attracting interest from many clubs. In England and France, some teams are interested in the 1995-born player. Most recently, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan has entered the race in hopes of securing Martial’s signature.

Inter Milan is seeking an attacking player as they enter the summer transfer window of 2024. Martial’s name is considered suitable for Inter’s requirements. The club’s scouting team still highly values Martial and believes he can shine at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.

Becoming a free agent makes Martial an attractive target for clubs, but financial barriers will be something that Inter and many other competitors will have to discuss in negotiations with the former Monaco player. Inter is only willing to offer a salary of £80,000 per week to the French player, much lower than the over £200,000 per week he currently earns at MU.

Certainly, with his current form, Martial cannot demand excessively high wages. Inter is undoubtedly the perfect choice for Martial. Firstly, it is a famous and ambitious club. Secondly, MU stars who have moved to Inter have all shone, such as Lukaku, Darmian, Mkhitaryan, and most recently Alexis Sanchez. If Martial wants to rediscover his top form, he could consider Serie A after failing in La Liga.
