Having debuted it originally against Manchester City earlier in the season when announcing his switch to the brand, adidas have now officially launched the limited edition Trent Alexander-Arnold signature edition Predator 24, known as ‘Pure Strike’.
In November last year, Trent Alexander-Arnold grabbed attention by announcing his switch from Under Armour to Adidas in a spectacular manner, scoring a memorable equalizer against Manchester City. The goal, a precise strike into the bottom corner from inside the box, not only showcased his skill but also drew focus to the boots he was wearing – a special edition colorway of the yet-to-be-released Predator 24. Speculations arose: Was it a signature edition? A custom design? Would it be widely available? Now, almost six months later, we have our answers with the launch of the Adidas Predator 24 x TAA ‘Pure Strike’ edition.
The design of the boot sees an all-white base contrasted with bold red stripes cascading along the sides, capped by the signature red fold-over tongue. Like the recent Y-3 edition, Trent’s ‘Pure Strike’ edition keeps the emphasis on that favored and nostalgia-heavy addition.
Speaking about the boots, Alexander-Arnold said: “When I was growing up, I watched a lot of my idols playing in some of the iconic Predator boots over the years. So, to have fallen in love with this boot, and to play in this colour in particular, is a dream come true. I cannot wait to get back on the pitch and test them out as soon as I can.”
The ‘Pure Strike’ edition of the Predator 24 is the latest in a line of special and regular edition drops to have been released since the next generation boot debuted just before Christmas 2023, with each one maintaining an incredible standard that’s seen mass approval from all sectors.
