Sharing on Man United’s homepage, former midfielder Juan Mata especially praised two young talents of the Red Devils.
Juan Mata complimented Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo
In an exclusive interview with MUTV, Juan Mata expressed great enthusiasm when witnessing the performances of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo this season. The Spanish football legend didn’t hesitate to shower praise on the talented young duo who graduated from the Red Devils academy.
“I’m very impressed with Alejandro, I know his abilities. He has shown signs of how good he is. I think this season Alejandro has taken a big step forward. He has shown consistently high performance, from week to week. And he has also scored some amazing goals.”
“I’m very happy for Alejandro and his family. He completely deserves this.”
“I’m also really impressed with Kobbie Mainoo. Of course, I haven’t met him much before, but he looks like a player who has been with this club for a long time.”
“In his early games for Man United, Kobbie looked very mature. He appeared like a seasoned player. Whether with or without the ball, he remained highly focused. Kobbie has a bright future ahead of him.”
“Bruno Fernandes told me that Kobbie is also a fantastic lad. He’s humble, listens well, and is always eager to learn. So, I see Kobbie has all the qualities to succeed.”
Mainoo and Garnacho were part of Manchester United’s youth team that won the FA Youth Cup in 2022, which also marked Juan Mata’s final season at Old Trafford. During this time, Juan Mata had direct contact with Garnacho as the young talent from Argentina was frequently brought up to train with the first team.
