Days after his last game of the season, Salah surprised fans by posting a photo on his Instagram page revealing his shaved head, bidding farewell to his trademark curls. The post garnered over 1.7 million likes and drew comments from fellow players like Andy Robertson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Recently, after spending quality time with his family, including his sister Rabab and brother Nasr, the full extent of Salah’s new look was unveiled. Rabab Salah shared several photos on her Instagram page showcasing Salah’s shaved head, leading fans to speculate whether he underwent hair transplant treatment.
Following this, Salah reunited with the Egypt national team in preparation for their World Cup qualifiers against Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau. In an update from the Egyptian FA, Salah was captured engaged in discussions with manager Hossam Hassan and other staff members, offering another glimpse of his new appearance.
Egypt will play Burkina Faso at the Cairo International Stadium on June 7, followed by an away match against Guinea-Bissau at Estadio 24 de Setembro on June 10.
Currently, Hassan’s team leads their qualifying group with two victories from two matches, and Salah ranks as the top goalscorer in Group A with four goals.
Following these fixtures, Salah’s involvement with Egypt may not conclude, as there are plans for him to join the U23s squad for the Olympics. However, Liverpool could potentially prevent his participation in the tournament in France, where Egypt is scheduled to face the Dominican Republic on July 24, Uzbekistan on July 27, and Spain on July 30, as reported by This Is Anfield‘s David Lynch last year.
