Arda Güler qualified for the EURO group stage after a 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic with a RED CARD ruining the match

The Czech Republic failed to defeat Türkiye in the final match of Group A at Euro 2024, officially saying goodbye to the tournament.

Early morning June 27 (Vietnam time), the Czech Republic faced Turkey in the final match of Group F Euro 2024.

With a must-win game to qualify for the next round, the Czech Republic attacked from the start. Meanwhile, Türkiye took the initiative to play slowly and wait for their opportunity.

The match was extremely tense, with a series of tough situations between the two teams. Notably, Czech midfielder Antonín Barák received a red card in the 20th minute after a dangerous tackle.

Playing with more players, Türkiye showed dominance in ball possession in the final minutes of the first half. However, a goal was still missing for both teams.

After the break, Türkiye continued to be the dominant team and took the initiative to impose their style of play. Playing with one less player made it difficult for CH to launch attacks.

In the 52nd minute, Türkiye’s constant pressure finally created the opening goal for the white team. Çalhanoğlu was the one to score with a very powerful shot inside the penalty area.

Despite being behind and playing with one less man, the Czech Republic still did not collapse. They even scored an equalizer 1-1 shortly after.

In the 66th minute, a Czech Republic throw-in created chaos in the Turkish penalty area. Soucek took advantage of the second ball to score the equalizer 1-1.

At this point, the Czech Republic needed another goal to advance. So, Ivan Hašek’s team went all out in the final minutes of the second half. However, the Turkish defense played extremely focused and successfully preserved the score.

In the end, the Czech Republic tied Türkiye 1-1 after 90 tense minutes. This result helped Türkiye win the ticket to the next round with the second position in the group.
