Shohei Ohtani’s Infectious Smile Warms Hearts as Dodgers Star Reveals his 2024 All-Star Game Invitation Card

Superstar Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers received his first All-Star selection while a Dodger. This is the Japanese sensation’s fourth selection in a row for the Midsummer Classic, which takes place on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

After getting his All-Star invitation, the two-time MVP’s emotions were recorded by Dodgers team photographer Jon SooHoo. In the locker room, Ohtani was grinning broadly as he posed with the official invitation.

Several views of Dodgers players were taken by Jon SooHoo on Sunday during the team’s series finale against the Milwaukee Brewers. The six Dodgers players—Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Teoscar Hernandez, Will Smith, and Tyler Glansow—who were chosen for the All-Star game were all shown in one shot at Dodger Stadium in the most recent edition of “The SooHoo Scrapbook.”

Additionally, SooHoo got a picture of experienced Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw working out with the group. Before the team’s last series game at Dodger Stadium, Kershaw faced batters in a simulated game.

Four times in a row, Shohei Ohtani is selected as an All-Star.

On Wednesday of last week, Shohei Ohtani was announced as the National League team’s designated hitter. Although Ohtani’s injury has restricted his ability to play both ways, the Japanese sensation has led the Dodgers to an MVP-caliber season.

Shohei Ohtani, who has been hitting well since joining the Dodgers in the summer, decided to take a precaution and withdrew his name from the Home Run Derby.

“It would just be a real disappointment for not only Shohei, the Dodgers and also the fans if something were to happen during something like that, which is an exhibition essentially,” Dave Roberts stated in support of Ohtani’s choice.

Since he had a great season to begin replacing Kershaw, rookie pitcher Gavin Stone was also a candidate for an All-Star position. He was not selected for the Midsummer Classic, though, as Tyler Glasnow received his first All-Star selection.

“It’s fantastic,” Glasnow exclaimed.”It has always been my dream to attend the All-Star game.”Except for a few unexpected performances in recent games, Glasnow, who has started the most games out of any player in the Dodgers rotation, was among the best starters in the league.

The Philadelphia Phillies have seven players participating in the showpiece game in Texas, while Dave Roberts’ squad has six, the second-most. Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park will mark the start of a much-awaited three-game series between the two elite clubs.
