Today, July 6th, 2024, marks the 30th birthday of the incredible baseball phenom Shohei Ohtani. Affectionately known as “Sho,” Ohtani has captivated sports fans around the world with his unprecedented talents as both an elite power hitter and dominant starting pitcher.
Ohtani burst onto the MLB scene in 2018 with the Los Angeles Angels, quickly establishing himself as a unique two-way player not seen in the majors in decades. In his age 24 season, Ohtani hit .285 with 22 home runs and 61 RBIs, while also posting a 3.31 ERA with 63 strikeouts in just 10 starts on the mound.
Over the past six seasons, Ohtani has only solidified his status as one of the game’s true superstars.
