According to many sources, Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is being targeted by Real Madrid.
As well as completing the season, Real Madrid are also busy in the transfer market. Kylian Mbappe is almost certain to join the Bernabeu on a free transfer after confirming his departure from PSG. However, the Spanish Royal team is not focusing on just one position. They are trying to rejuvenate the full-back.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the players targeted by the white vultures.
As one of Liverpool’s key defenders, Arnold made 310 appearances under Jurgen Klopp, winning 1 Champions League, 1 Premier League, 1 FA Cup and 2 Carabao Cups.
He is Klopp’s fourth most used player in his coaching career behind Mohamed Salah, James Milner and Roberto Firmino, who leads the way with 355 appearances.
Arnold’s contract expires in 2025 and Real Madrid have also been in talks with the youngster to find a defender who can replace Dani Carvajal.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is very interested in Liverpool defender Alexander-Arnold. In the Debrief podcast, Romano shared: “According to the information I have, Real Madrid have a specific interest in Trent Alexander-Arnold. They are monitoring his situation. At the moment, there is no direct contact with the agent or the player because it is too early. Real Madrid are closely monitoring the situation.”
