Many players, like Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Elly De La Cruz, had the ideal opportunity to display their personalized cleats during the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. In addition to drawing attention with their ensembles on the All-Star red carpet, the three stood out during the All-Star game when they wore specially made cleats.
Let’s examine Judge Ohtani, De La Cruz, and their unique cleats.
1) Aaron Judge, Air Jordan 3 PE in Black Cement
On Tuesday, the skipper of the New York Yankees represented the American League. He accessorized his All-Star jersey with “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 PE cleats. They are available in three colors: grey sail, fire-red cement, and black cement. They were first introduced in November of last year.
The cleats may be bought on FarFetch for $1,402 dollars.
2) Elly De La Cruz, Jordan cleats customized by Louis Vuitton
For the All-Star Game, Elly De La Cruz, the major league leader in stolen bases, wore a set of pink Louis Vuitton Jordan cleats specially made for her. He didn’t try to steal a base, though, and for the duration of his game, his cleats were the talk of the field.
3) “Ohtani 1” Shohei Ohtani wearing New Balance cleats
While playing for the National League team, Shohei Ohtani honored the Los Angeles Dodgers with his cleat. The versatile player, who inked a $700 million, 10-year contract during the winter, donned the Dodger Blue edition of his “Ohtani 1.”
In the Major League Baseball, Ohtani represents the New Balance brand. The Japanese celebrity made his distinctive sneakers public for the first time on Tuesday.
There are two variations of “Ohtani 1”: the Ohtani v1 Metal and the Ohtani v1 Turf. At 10:00 am (JST), the first drop will be live on New Balance’s Japan website. SNKRDunk reports that they will likely price for between 8,800 JPY (about $56) and 26,400 JPY ($167).
In terms of the game, Aaron Judge and the American League prevailed 5-3. Jarren Duran of the Boston Red Sox’s two-run home run decided the game. Following that, he raised the Ted Williams MVO trophy.
