Baseball sensation Shohei Ohtani and his spouse Mamiko Tanaka posted a picture of themselves with their dog, Decoy, on Tuesday night at the Arlington, Texas Midsummer Classic. The dog, Decoy, was wearing a brown shirt when Ohtani and Tanaka took this picture of them before leaving for the MLB All-Star red carpet event.

“Shotime” looked great in a brown suit-pants set with a white shirt, while Mamiko Tanaka looked stunning in a white gown. Ohtani stated during the event that his custom tailored garment has cute pictures of Decoy on the inside.

The Japanese two-way superstar also disclosed that the color of his dog’s fur was the reason he chose a brown outfit. After spending a few years with Ohtani, Decoy, a Dutch Kooikerhondje, is undoubtedly the Los Angeles Dodgers star’s favorite animal companion.

Notably, Decoy was present on MLB Network when Ohtani accepted his 2023 AL MVP Award. In Japanese, the term “Dekopin” refers to a light flick of the forehead made with the index finger.

Furthermore, in response to the growing exposure that Ohtani’s bond with his furry friend has garnered since then, the Dodgers will be giving away an Ohtani-Decoy bobblehead at Dodger Stadium on August 28.

Since this was only Mamiko Tanaka and Shohei Ohtani’s second time going to an event together as a married couple, they attracted a lot of attention at the red carpet event. But after that, everything revolved around the Dodgers ace, who was getting ready to participate in his fourth MLB All-Star game.

Midsummer Classic MVP Shohei Ohtani blasts a three-run home run.

At Globe Life Field on Tuesday, the NL All-Stars surged out to a three-run lead in the top of the third inning. Before Shohei Ohtani onto the field, line drives against Tanner Houck of the Boston Red Sox brought Jurickson Profar and Ketel Marte to base.

And he did not let anyone down, launching a spectacularly executed off-speed pitch into right-center field to start the All-Star game.

Dodgers supporters will be hoping that Ohtani, who has been absolutely outstanding so far this season, can maintain his scorching form at the plate in the second half of the season.

The Dodgers, who have an overall record of 56-41 for the season, are presently leading the NL West standings.
