Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk and NBA legend LeBron James gathered in London for the launch event of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s new beverage

Virgil van Dijk has been mingling with a Liverpool minority shareholder and other celebrities during his summer break. It has been almost two weeks since the Liverpool captain’s Euro 2024 aspirations were dashed by England, and he has been enjoying his time off since then.

On Thursday, his break took him to London, where he was invited to the UK launch of Dre and Snoop’s ‘Gin & Juice’ beverage, named after their 1994 hit collaboration.

The event was a celebrity magnet, featuring NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and Liverpool shareholder LeBron James, and even included a surprise performance by Eminem.

Van Dijk and his wife, Rike Nooitgedagt, enjoyed the show and had the opportunity to watch Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg perform. The Liverpool captain made sure to share photos from the evening on Instagram, captioning them: “When worlds collide! Good vibes, good people.”

From all accounts and the videos posted online, it looked like quite the event!

Jude Bellingham was also present at Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in Shepherd’s Bush, as were the likes of Idris Elba, Sabrina Elba, Aitch, and Charlotte Tilbury.

When will we see Van Dijk return?

The captain, along with Cody Gakpo and Ryan Gravenberch, was eliminated from the Euros on July 10 at the semi-final stage.

With players granted a three-week break, the trio will not return until next month. As Liverpool will be traveling back from the US, we can expect them to rejoin the team around August 5.

This also applies to Ibrahima Konate, Alexis Mac Allister, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Joe Gomez.
