Defender Nacho had an emotional farewell to the team he had been with for 23 years.
After his contract expired, defender Nacho decided to leave Real Madrid to join Saudi Arabia’s Al Qadsiah Club. During the ceremony, the player burst into tears and expressed his gratitude to Los Blancos.

Nacho shared. “I left as captain of Real Madrid and had the honor of lifting the Champions League for the 15th time. I left because I wanted to have another experience in my career, another adventure. I want to be remembered as a young player, giving my all for this team.
I have grown up in the last 24 years at the biggest club in the world. Real Madrid has taught me how to win and lose, but above all how to live. This club means everything to me. I say goodbye knowing that I have given everything I could to Real Madrid

Nacho ended his career in white with a total of 26 titles, including six Champions League titles. During the ceremony, President Perez held Nacho’s hand and said: “We are very proud to have had your service for the past 23 years. You came here when you were 10 years old and played at every level for Real Madrid. We want you to know that we are extremely proud of one of the greatest legends in the history of the club.
I want to thank you for giving your soul to Real Madrid. You know that this will always be your home.”
