According to The Telegraph, Manchester United could add another striker this summer.
Leny Yoro is out for three months after fracturing his foot in a pre-season game against Arsenal last weekend. Rasmus Hojlund was also forced off in the same game with a hamstring problem. He is expected to be out for around six weeks .
Hojlund is currently United’s only centre-forward. Last season, he scored 14 goals in his debut campaign after moving from Atalanta.
To make matters worse, Man United had more injury problems in the win over Real Betis. Marcus Rashford and Antony had to leave the field respectively .
Man Utd plan to pursue Toney.
Man United are keen to strengthen their squad and have signed Joshua Zirkzee this summer.
But The Telegraph reports United could push those plans further as Erik ten Hag wants another option at striker after losing Hojlund.
Specifically, Brentford’s Ivan Toney has been named as one of the options being considered by Man Utd.
The England international has just one year left on his contract and Brentford are hoping to receive a transfer fee of around £50m for the 28-year-old.
