The Reds triumphed in all three of their friendlies in the United States, defeating Real Betis, Arsenal, and most recently, Manchester United.
Tsimikas netted his first goal for the club during their 3-0 win over United in South Carolina last Saturday. Following the match, he shared with Liverpoolfc.com: “That’s our style of play; everyone is confident.
“I believe it’s due to the excellent, hard work we’ve done with our new head coach and his new ideas. We just need to keep it up, work hard, and strive to improve.
“Scoring for this club, in this jersey, is a dream come true for me. Additionally, my brother’s baby was born today, so I’m overjoyed with both the goal and the new arrival!”
Arne Slot’s team headed back to Merseyside right after their victory at Williams-Brice Stadium. With the Premier League season opener against Ipswich Town just 11 days away, Liverpool will wrap up their summer friendlies by facing Sevilla and Las Palmas at Anfield on Sunday.
Tsimikas also expressed the team’s appreciation for the passionate support they experienced in the United States.
He said, “It’s always great to see Liverpool fans from around the world cheering for us when we travel abroad. We’re very happy and extremely grateful to them.”
