‘FORCED ME’: Erling Haaland shares strange training plan from his Premier League idol father to boost strength for upcoming season

ERLING HAALAND is getting ready for the upcoming Premier League season by going all out Rocky.

The Manchester City striker has been out all summer because Norway was not able to advance to the German tournament for Euro 2024.

Haaland, 23, relished a well-earned vacation after leading Fire City to a record-tying fourth consecutive domestic championship.

However, the striker’s playing days are finished as he works diligently to get ready for the upcoming campaign.

He has also undergone some traditional training with his father, Alf-Inge, a former defender for Leeds United and City.

Star striker for City has been building strength by trudging through the woods and CHOPPING WOOD, a move reminiscent of Sylvester Stallone’s role in the Rocky movie.

In a video posted to his and City’s X and Instagram pages, Haaland described his vintage training techniques.

“Chopping woods in the mountains is the most Erling Haaland thing I’ve heard,” his camera remarked in the video.

Then, according to the former striker for Borussia Dortmund, “My father forced me, I didn’t have a choice.”

One of the first comments made by footie enthusiasts on the video was, “Haaland is a distinct breed.

One more person commented, “Real dads make their sons do yard work.”One more person commented, “His father is a true Viking.”A comment was made: “Typical Viking conduct. Nothing fresh.”

Someone else said, “I expected nothing less.”

Haaland has found a way to counterbalance the harshness of his off-season strength and conditioning training with the serenity and calm of his riverside meditations.

When the new season begins, City will be hopeful that his unconventional training methods will have him playing at full capacity.

In 45 games played last season, the Norwegian scored 38 goals and added six assists.

That total was nothing compared to the abundance of goals he scored in his first season at Etihad Stadium, where he finished with nine assists and 52 goals.
