Liverpool pulled off an impressive comeback to overcome Milan, with Van Dijk and Szoboszlai excelling by netting goals

Liverpool visited AC Milan in the first round of the Champions League group stage. Coach Arne Slot’s team received an early “cold shower”. In the 3rd minute, Pulisic dribbled the ball from midfield to Liverpool ‘s penalty area and fired a decisive shot to open the score.

Conceding a painful goal, the away team pressed forward with a strong attack. Salah hit the crossbar in the 17th minute.

Just 5 minutes later, Konate brought Liverpool an equalizer with a powerful header in the penalty area. AC Milan completely lost control of the game. Bad luck continued to haunt Salah when the striker hit the crossbar for the second time.

In the 41st minute, AC Milan’s defense was powerless to stop Van Dijk’s close-range header and Liverpool scored their second goal. This was also the last goal of the first half. In the beginning of the second half, Milan were at a disadvantage when goalkeeper Maignan had to leave the field due to injury.

Liverpool stopped pressing but still scored another goal. The scorer was Szoboszlai after a pass from Gakpo.

In the remaining minutes, AC Milan tried to find a goal but all they could do was Leao’s shot hit the post in the last minute of extra time. In the end, Liverpool came back right at AC Milan’s field.
