Pittsburgh Pirates ace rookie Paul Skenes gifted his girlfriend Olivia Dunne with a new set of kicks. The couple, who has known each other from their time in Baton Rouge, often takes time to shower the other with such gifts.

Skenes is nearing the end of his first year in the majors. His last start was against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. He pitched six innings for one run while striking out seven hitters. Although it was a quality start, he was pinged with a loss due to dominant stuff from Cardinals’ ace Andre Pallante, who pitched seven scoreless innings in a 4-0 win.

On Wednesday, Dunne uploaded a photo of pink-hued Nike’s kicks gifted to her by her beau, Paul Skenes. She gave a shout out to the rookie for the gesture.

Although Paul Skenes’ season is drawing to a close, Dunne’s fifth and final year with the LSU Tigers is starting soon. She hopes to help defend the NCAA crown, which the team won in April.

Olivia Dunne shares Paul Skenes’ reaction to her documentary

Over the past couple of weeks, the LSU gymnast has been busy promoting her new documentary, “The Money Game.”

The six-part series follows stories of athletes whose lives took a turn for the better when the NCAA enforced a new rule in 2021, allowing athletes to earn through the commercial use of their name, image and likeness.

Not only Paul Skenes is excited to watch the docuseries, but he’s also a part of the docuseries, Dunne said.

“He was actually in Baton Rouge during the fall,” Dunne told Good Morning America. “He’s featured in the docuseries. He had a lot of fun filming it with me. He’s excited to watch the finished product.”

Talking about the series, Olivia Dunne spoke about the impact NIL has brought to her life.

“The opportunities that have come with the rule change have changed my life,” Dunne added to Good Morning America.”It’s been such a blessing. And the fact that I get to work with the brands that I didn’t have the opportunity to work with once upon a time has been a dream come true.”

The social media star is the highest-paid college female athlete and trails only the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders in overall NIL earnings among college athletes.
