Mohamed Salah has been spotted in Mykonos, enjoying his final days off before reporting for pre-season training with Liverpool.
Liverpool officially began pre-season training under their new head coach Arne Slot last Friday, with the first group of players returning to the club’s AXA Training Centre.
Mohamed Salah, however, is among the key players yet to report back, having been granted additional time off by the club after participating in Egypt’s World Cup qualifiers last month.
The Egyptian superstar is expected to return soon, but he has made the most of his remaining time off. Salah was recently spotted strolling through the streets of Mykonos by a fan, as the 32-year-old has become a regular visitor to the popular Greek island in recent years.
Salah has been enjoying his time off after another demanding season for both club and country.
The Liverpool star was also photographed with Olympiakos defender Rodinei during the final days of his holiday. Rodinei shared the photo on social media, humorously captioning it, “You didn’t expect this one, me and Mo Salah randomly hanging out.”
The picture was taken at Scorpios Mykonos, a lively beach club on the Greek island.
This marks the third consecutive year that Salah has spent part of his summer break in Mykonos. His 2022 trip to the island coincided with resolving his future at the Anfield club.
While in Mykonos, Salah signed an impressive £400,000-a-week deal, putting an end to speculation about his future and extending his contract until 2025.
He returned to the island last year, where he was spotted relaxing on the beach in the sun.
Salah’s most recent trip to Mykonos was likely a much-needed break following his grueling 2023-24 season with Liverpool.
The 32-year-old played 44 matches across all competitions for the Reds during the campaign.
