Mohamed Salah has been seen enjoying his last days of vacation in Mykonos before he reports back for pre-season training with Liverpool.
The club officially kicked off pre-season training under their new head coach Arne Slot last Friday, welcoming the first group of players back to the AXA Training Centre.
Salah, however, is one of the key players who has yet to return, having been granted extra time off after his involvement in Egypt’s World Cup qualifiers last month.
The Egyptian star is anticipated to return soon, but he has made the most of his remaining time off. Recently, a fan spotted him taking a leisurely stroll through the streets of Mykonos. The 32-year-old has become a frequent visitor to this popular Greek destination in recent years.
After another demanding season for both club and country, Salah has been enjoying his well-deserved break.
During the final days of his holiday, the Liverpool forward was photographed alongside Olympiakos defender Rodinei, who humorously shared the photo on social media with the caption, “You didn’t expect this one, me and Mo Salah randomly hanging out.”
This snapshot was taken at Scorpios Mykonos, a vibrant beach club on the island.
This year marks the third consecutive summer that Salah has chosen to spend part of his break in Mykonos. His visit in 2022 coincided with discussions about his future at Anfield.
While in Mykonos, Salah signed a lucrative £400,000-a-week deal, effectively ending speculation about his future and extending his contract until 2025.
Last year, he was also spotted on the island, relaxing on the beach.
Salah’s recent trip to Mykonos likely provided a much-needed respite after a challenging 2023-24 season with Liverpool, during which he played 44 matches across all competitions.
