From Greek gods to his wedding night: Highlights from Giannis Antetokounmpo’s media day

Highlights from Giannis Antetokounmpo’s media day include everything from Greek gods to his wedding night.

In addition to questions about his pairing with Damian Lillard, his summertime Olympic play, and the team’s new additions, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was asked about his wedding to longtime partner Mariah Riddlesprigger and…Greek gods? During his 20-minute Q&A session with local media on Monday at Fiserv Forum.

The following are a few of Antetokounmpo’s media day highlights:

In an effort to maintain your health this year, did you alter anything about your offseason?

Antetokounmpo: Miniscule. I promise to take the best possible care of my body. There will inevitably be bad days. For example, I never expected to get hurt and injure my calf on April 9. That kind of event is likely to happen occasionally; stuff. All you need to do is make every effort to be prepared, listen to your body, and try new things. I spent this off-season doing just that. I have to admit that, in the end, maintaining your health is crucial because it allows you the opportunity to perform well, support your team, and possibly even win something. The likelihood decreases to zero when you’re not available. I don’t want to go on and on. simply doing the best I can for my body. I hope that from now on I’m not unlucky.
