For Antetokounmpo, representing Greece in the Olympics was undoubtedly a great honor. Playing for your flag and nation feels different, just like it does for most other sportsmen, and Antetokounmpo never seemed to take that advantage for granted.
Greece won just one game in group play, but yet managed to get to the quarterfinals. The team’s campaign began in Paris with a loss, 86-79, against Canada. Later, they were defeated, 84-77, by Spain. After that, Antetokounmpo and co. defeated Australia 77-71 in an exciting game match. But in the quarterfinals, Greece was defeated 76-63 by Dennis Schroder and the Germans, who were the current World Cup champions.
