Haaland joked that he needed to take a shot of milk for the stress of the enthralling game
Haaland, who hasn’t been a member of the City team since December 6, was watching from home as he suffered yet another setback.
Even so, he appeared to be having fun as he expressed his feelings on his Instagram story.
The 23-year-old bagsman wrote, “Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah,” under a passionate photo of himself in celebration.
And then made a joke about how, following the tension of the Treble champions’ dramatic comeback, he needed to take a shot.
Fans, however, couldn’t help but chuckle at the “shot” he took—especially after Haaland uploaded a photo of a milkshake.
The goal machine, who has always been known to be a character off the field, was the target of several jokes on social media.
“He’s a strange one isn’t he?” someone commented.
“Grown man taking milk shots should be criminal,” said someone else.
Another person said, “That’s totally insane.”
A fourth person wrote only “Strange man.”
With their victory over the Magpies, City moves up to second place in the Premier League rankings, proving they are managing just fine without their star striker.
Nevertheless, it was necessary for them to use Kevin De Bruyne for the first time since his season-long injury.
When De Bruyne entered the game with City down 2-1, he worked his magic to win all three points for his team.
Within five minutes of his substitution, he had already scored a goal and set up Oscar Bobb’s late winner.
