He has discussed the omission in detail for the first time.
Many fans were in when Jack Grealish was omitted from the England squad at Euro 2024. The £100m man with many unique attributes and importantly an ability to keep the ball in tight, high-pressure situations, he could’ve been utilised – especially in the final versus Spain.

Now under Lee Carsley, Grealish is back with the Three Lions.
Delighted with the quick turnaround, he still believes though that he should have been included in the Euros squad.
Having been named in the previous Euro 2020 and World Cup 2022 squads, it came as a surprise that he wasn’t included for the side in Germany.
Grealish staked his claim in a fresh interview with BBC 5 Live, remarking that he could have offered something different to the squad:
“I think everyone can imagine I was absolutely devastated. It was probably one of the most difficult periods of my life.
“I think my whole career has been a lot of ups and downs, but, yeah, that was definitely right up there in terms of the downs.
“I’ll be honest with you, I didn’t really agree with it because it’s just me, you know…”
Grealish then spoke on his wide-ranged ability across the game:
“I just know that my game is not just about goals. I think I give so much more to the team than just goals.
“So, yeah, you know, you asked me do I think I should have gone? And I still think that, yeah, I should have, but obviously it wasn’t meant to be.”

For the first time, he has gone into great detail about the omission.
When Jack Grealish was left off of the England team for Euro 2024, many supporters were taken aback. The £100 million player, who possesses a variety of exceptional skills and, most significantly, the capacity to hold the ball under duress, had the potential to be used, particularly against Spain in the championship game.
Grealish is back with the Three Lions under Lee Carsley.
Though pleased with the speedy recovery, he still feels he ought to have been in the squad for the European Championship.
It was that he was left off the German team after being named in the squads for both the World Cup 2022 and the Euro 2020.
In a recent interview with BBC 5 Live, Grealish made his case by saying that he could have given the team something different:
I believe it’s safe to say that I was completely crushed. It was most likely one of the hardest times in my life.
“I believe that throughout my career, there have been many highs and lows, but that was undoubtedly one of the worst.
To be quite honest with you, I didn’t really agree with it because, well, it’s just me.
Grealish continued by discussing his versatile skill set throughout the game:
I am aware that goals are not the only aspect of my game. I believe that my contributions to the squad go well beyond goals.
“Well, you asked me if I thought I should have gone. And while I still believe that I should have, it was clearly not meant to be.
