On Thursday night, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers played a very exciting NBA exhibition game. At halfway, the Bucks were ahead 58–52 over the Lakers. But before that, some fans were talking about an exciting transition play starring star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James.

LeBron James went down the court by himself with a little more than 10 minutes left in the second quarter and tried to make a layup against Damian Lillard. Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, caught James and blocked him horribly from behind:

It’s not a surprise that Giannis Antetokounmpo is good at defense. He has been named Defensive Player of the Year once and made the NBA’s All-Defensive Team five times. Fans were still impressed by how hard he worked against James:

One fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Giannis never fails to impress.”

“That was an epic turndown!” Giannis once again shows why he’s such a great defender. I can’t wait for this season to go on!” One more fan said.

Some fans found Antetokounmpo’s athletic defensive play funny, while others pointed out how ironic it was that the block was on James, who is one of the best at chasing down opponents in the league.

One fan wrote about James in jest, “How’s it taste, old man?” along with a bunch of laughing and deer emojis.
