A recap of Liverpool stars’ performances during international duty: Ibrahima Konate delivered a solid performance in a 4-1 win, while Caoimhin Kelleher helped Ireland pull off an impressive comeback

Konate started for France and played the entire 4-1 UEFA Nations League win over Israel in Budapest. The Liverpool defender put in a solid display, frequently stepping in to cover for Saliba.

Kelleher was in goal for the Republic of Ireland’s comeback victory away against Finland.

Endo, on the other hand, captained Japan to a 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in a World Cup qualifier.

Liverpool’s vice-captain was much less involved in the attack compared to his last international appearance and lacked defensive sharpness, particularly during Pavlidis’ goal. However, he made one good defensive run late in the match and delivered a few decent crosses into the box.

Luis Diaz, who started and was substituted in the 78th minute, was part of Colombia’s surprising loss to Bolivia, despite playing with an extra man from the 21st minute.

Despite the defeat, Diaz remained active throughout the game, engaging in numerous duels despite the challenges of playing at an altitude of 4000m.
