It’s unclear whether he was addressing a particular individual or the people that support him in general with this statement. Giannis Antetokounmpo has lost against the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 2022 playoffs, the Miami Heat in the first round of 2023, and the Indiana Pacers in the first round of 2024 despite his best efforts to win another Larry O’Brien trophy in the previous three seasons.
The Bucks were viewed as serious contenders for a title after acquiring Damian Lillard and inserting Doc Rivers in place of Adrian Griffin. However, they were ultimately defeated by the uɳҽxpected Pacers, who advanced all the way to the Eastern Conference finals.

Now that Doc Rivers is leading the team, Milwaukee plans to contend for another championship, but there are questions regarding his ability to lead the club to victory.
