Antetokounmpo: I could be traded if we don’t win a title.

Antetokounmpo believes he could be moved if the Bucks don’t win another title.

At least Giannis Antetokounmpo thinks that this coming season could make or break the Milwaukee Bucks’ core.

Antetokounmpo is ready for the worst if he can’t lead his team to another title this season. In 2021, he led the Bucks to their first NBA title in 50 years.

The Greek forward told The Athletic, “Yeah, if we don’t win a championship, I might get traded.” “This is our job. This is the world we live in. It’s everyone. If you don’t win at any time, that could be the end for us. You’ll be fired if you don’t do a good enough job.

Antetokounmpo, who led the Bucks to their first NBA championship in 50 years in 2021, is prepared for the worst if he can’t carry his team to another title this season.

The Bucks got Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard in October 2023, and they are now in their second season together. With a 49–33 record, Milwaukee came in third in the Eastern Conference last year. However, the Indiana Pacers them in the first round of the NBA Playoffs and knocked the Bucks from the tournament.

Antetokounmpo extended his deal with the Bucks for three years and $186 million in 2023. He also has a player option for the 2027–28 season. He’ll get $48.7 million this season and $54.1 million next season.
