VICTORY AT RED BULL: Liverpool sets a new record with Arne Slot after win in Leipzig

Liverpool’s thrilling start to the season under new manager Arne Slot has seen the team shatter records, and the emotions ran high after their recent victory. As Slot approached the players after the final whistle, they applauded him, recognizing his impact.

Liverpool secured a 1-0 win at Leipzig, one of the clubs Jurgen Klopp, after nearly nine successful years at Liverpool, will soon oversee as Red Bull’s head of global football.

Few would have expected Slot to step out from Klopp’s shadow so quickly at Anfield.

For the first time in the club’s 132-year history, Liverpool has won their first six away games of a season. Additionally, Slot has become the first manager of an English top-flight club to win 11 of his first 12 matches across all competitions, according to Opta.

Slot’s leadership has also propelled Liverpool to the top of the Premier League after eight matches, while a third consecutive Champions League win puts them alongside Aston Villa as one of only two teams to have collected a maximum nine points so far.

Reflecting on the achievements, Slot said, “This club has seen many great teams and managers. So to do something that’s never been done before at Liverpool is almost unimaginable. Records are fantastic, but trophies are even better.”

It was no surprise when the fans and players celebrated Slot after the win on Wednesday.

“He just has to keep us moving forward, keep showing us what he expects, and I think we’re reflecting that on the pitch. But the season is long, and we’ll stay humble and keep working,” added Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.
