WWE superstar Damien Priest is among the many fans excited for the 2024 World Series between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Priest, whose real name is Luis Martinez, is a New York native and grew up a Yankees fan.

The 42-year-old wrestler released a hype video on social media collaborating with the Yankees social team. In the video, Priest delivers a monologue about the journey of the team, which is set to appear in the World Series for the first time since 2009. The team is hoping to end its 15-year drought this fall.

Damien Priest bullish on Yankees’ chances of winning it all this fall

The WWE superstar attended ALCS Game 2 between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians at Yankee Stadium.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Undisputed, Damien Priest spoke about his love for the Yankees and discussed their future this season.

“The Yankees, they’re my team,” Priest said. “That’s why I was so honored to bring the title to Yankee Stadium. Jose Trevino’s a big WWE fan, and we’ve kept in touch. I love to support my friends, and he’s a friend.””There are a lot of guys on the team who like wrestling. Trevino and Tommy [Kahnle] are the two biggest wrestling fans on the team, and [Nick] Swisher is a huge fan, too. I’m always pulling for them. I really think this is their year.”

Earlier in the regular season, Damien Priest visited the Yankees dugout and even exchanged jerseys with captain Aaron Judge. He arrived there with his World Heavyweight Championship, which he won at WWE WrestleMania XL.
