Freddie Freeman’s back-to-back home runs puts Dodgers in driver’s seat in World Series
The Dodgers first baseman played this postseason despite carrying an ankle issue. While his NLDS and NLCS performance didn’t quite stand up, in the World Series, Freddie Freeman is performing like an MVP.
The Game 1 at Dodger Stadium ended with Freeman’s clutch walk off grand slam that sealed a 6-3 win for the hosts. In Game 2, which the Dodgers won 4-2, Freeman contributed with a solo home run off Yankees ace Carlos Rodon in the bottom of the third inning.
The Dodgers are up 2-0 in the best of seven series ahead of Game 3 on Monday at Yankee Stadium.
