Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk was spotted working at McDonald’s as part of a charity campaign

This week, Liverpool center-back Virgil van Dijk was seen working the drive-thru window at a McDonald’s in Kirkby, assisting customers with their orders.

Known for his on-field accomplishments, van Dijk surprised fans by personally delivering meals, offering a glimpse of a different side to his public persona.

Since his £75 million move from Southampton to Liverpool in January 2018, the Dutch defender has actively engaged in community outreach. However, few expected the towering 6’5″ player to be greeting customers at the drive-thru for a quick bite.

Footage on social media showed Van Dijk supporting McDonald’s staff by handling orders at the window. A crowd gathered in no time, with children eagerly watching through the glass, hoping to see the Liverpool star up close.

Casually dressed in jeans, a pullover, and sneakers, van Dijk was later seen holding a tray of McFlurrys, handing them out to enthusiastic patrons.

His unexpected role at McDonald’s generated plenty of comments online, with fans expressing delight and surprise at seeing him in such an unexpected setting.
