Liverpool star Curtis Jones shared five little-known stories about himself on the ‘A Day with Curtis’ show, including his habit of being an early riser and his journey to becoming a meme

Host Rubi Deschamps barely had a chance to finish her breakfast before meeting up with Jones for an early 8:30 a.m. filming start—a time the midfielder firmly supports.

“I’m one of the early ones [into training],” Jones says, crediting some of this routine to the influence of his teammate, Mohamed Salah. “A little bit, yeah, in the sense of how good he is – and if he is in the gym before everybody else, then that shows that I’m not doing enough.”

Jones confesses that on days he skips, he feels like he’s fallen short: “If there’s a day when I’ve come in and I’ve not done it, then I feel like I’ve cheated a little bit, or something isn’t right. So, now it’s an everyday thing.”

As the saying goes, “the early bird catches the worm.” Back in October 2019, Jones had an unforgettable moment when he netted the winning penalty in a 5-5 Carabao Cup clash against Arsenal at Anfield.

The night was already remarkable, but it became iconic when Jones entered internet fame—thanks, in part, to the club’s digital media team.
