Arne Slot is worried about Trent Alexander-Arnold’s injury, which forced him off the field during the match against Aston Villa, and he may miss several upcoming games

In Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday night, Trent Alexander-Arnold sustained an injury.

The 26-year-old was forced off the field after 25 minutes due to discomfort in his right hamstring and was replaced by Conor Bradley.

Liverpool’s medical staff will evaluate Alexander-Arnold, and he is expected to pull out from England’s Nations League squad.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool’s vice-captain believes his time away won’t be extended. The quick substitution likely prevented further injury.

After the game, Slot expressed doubt that Alexander-Arnold would feature for England during the international break, saying, “It’s challenging to judge the seriousness right now, but it’s always concerning when a player leaves in the first half. He requested the substitution due to discomfort rather than fatigue, which is rarely a good sign, but it’s hard to determine immediately after the match.”

Liverpool’s upcoming schedule includes Southampton on November 24, followed by Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the Premier League.

The league leaders will then play away games at Newcastle United and Everton.
