Ronald Acuna Jr. and Maria Laborde hail from Venezuela. While Acuna was signed as an international free agent by the Braves in 2014, making his MLB debut four years later, Laborde is into modelling and was crowned the Miss Teen Carabobo in 2015.
She has done some exclusive photoshoots for top photographers like Terry Richardson and Steven Meisel and has worked in ad campaigns for luxurious brands like Zara and Calvin Klein.
Maria and Ronald Acuna started dating in 2020 and got married on August 31, 2023 in a private wedding. The couple are parents to Ronald Daniel Acuna Laborde, born in September 2020, and Jamal, born in 2022.

Acuna was named the NL MVP last year but couldn’t make a considerable impact this year with the Braves after getting sidelined for the season due to a torn ACL sustained on May 26 in a regular season game against the Pirates.
After Acuna recovers, the Atlanta faithful will hope that he can bring back his searing form from 2023 and propel the Braves towards contending for the NL pennant.
