GOAL FEST: Liverpool draws with Newcastle in a regretful match marred by Kelleher’s mistake

Liverpool traveled to Newcastle’s home field in the match of round 14 of the English Premier League.

Newcastle created a dangerous opportunity in the opening minutes when Sandro Tonali fired a shot from the edge of the box to the bottom right corner, but goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher made a great save.

Then it was Jacob Murphy (Newcastle)’s turn to try his luck with a shot from outside the box, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Liverpool responded strongly with their own chances. Alexis Mac Allister had a shot from mid-range that hit the post. And just a few minutes later, Alexis had another chance with a powerful volley into the bottom right corner, but goalkeeper Nick Pope made a superb save.

However, after some remarkable exchanges, Newcastle opened the scoring in the 35th minute. Alexander Isak received a precise pass from Bruno Guimaraes and fired an unstoppable shot into the top right corner of Liverpool’s goal, giving the home side the lead in the first half.

In the second half, Liverpool immediately put pressure on the home team, and the results came soon after. In the 50th minute, Mohamed Salah had a great assist for Curtis Jones, who did not miss the opportunity to bring the equalizer for The Kops after finishing into the top right corner of the goal.
