THE KING’S BRACE: Mohamed Salah dazzles with a brilliant performance, scoring twice and delivering a spectacular assist to Curtis Jones

The match began with Newcastle on the front foot, creating early chances. Sandro Tonali unleashed a shot from the edge of the box, but Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher made a brilliant save to deny him. Shortly after, Jacob Murphy attempted a long-range effort, only to see his shot sail over the bar.

Liverpool responded with intensity. Alexis Mac Allister came close to breaking the deadlock with a mid-range strike that struck the post.

Moments later, Mac Allister tried again with a powerful volley aimed at the bottom right corner, but Newcastle’s goalkeeper Nick Pope produced an outstanding save to keep the game level.

Despite fierce competition and numerous chances, it wasn’t until the 35th minute that the deadlock was broken.

Newcastle took the lead when Bruno Guimaraes delivered a pinpoint pass to Alexander Isak, who expertly fired a stunning shot into the top corner, putting the hosts ahead 1-0.

Liverpool came out firing in the second half, pressing Newcastle’s defense from the outset. Their efforts paid off in the 50th minute when Mohamed Salah delivered a brilliant pass to Curtis Jones, who capitalized on the opportunity with a precise shot into the top right corner to level the score at 1-1.
