PSG Addresses Rumors About Signing Salah

Mohamed Salah has been vocal recently about his ongoing contract talks with Liverpool, as his current deal is set to expire next summer.

Negotiations over a contract extension have reached a standstill, fueling interest in the Egyptian star from major clubs worldwide, including Paris Saint-Germain. However, the reigning French champions have officially addressed and dismissed the rumors linking them to Salah.

In an interview with Sky Sports, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi praised Salah but firmly denied any plans to bring him to Ligue 1.

“That’s not true,” Al-Khelaifi stated. “Salah is an incredible player, but, to be honest, we’ve never considered signing him. We understand why every club would want him, but the rumors about PSG are completely false.”

Meanwhile, Feyenoord coach Arne Slot added a touch of humor when asked about Salah’s situation during a press conference. “If you look at my starting lineup, Mo Salah seems more likely to stay than leave,” he joked.

As Salah approaches the final six months of his contract, he will soon be eligible to negotiate a pre-contract with overseas clubs starting January 1. Given his impressive performances, he’s unlikely to lack options.
