A double from Salah helped Liverpool demolish Tottenham, with Salah conquering 3 records

In the late match of round 17 of the Premier League last night, Liverpool defeated Tottenham 6-3. This victory helped Mohamed Salah conquer 3 records of the tournament.

First is the record for “Most seasons with 10 goals and assists”. Salah has had 6 seasons, while the previous record holder, Wayne Rooney, has only stopped at 5.

But more surprisingly, Salah only needed 17 rounds in the 2024/25 season to set the record when he reached 15 goals and 11 assists after the recent win over Tottenham, all of which are the most in the tournament.

Mohamed Salah scored two goals against Tottenham, one was an empty net in the 54th minute and the other was a right-footed shot in the 61st minute. He also contributed two assists to help Liverpool lead 3-1 and seal the score 6-3.

With 15 goals and 11 assists, Mohamed Salah became the first player in Premier League history to reach 10 goals and 10 assists before Christmas. He is also the first player to achieve this feat in four consecutive seasons.

This season is really going well for Liverpool and Mohamed Salah . On the day Chelsea were held to a 0-0 draw by Everton, The Kop broke away to keep a 4-point gap over the chasing pack, while they still have 1 match left to play (against Everton postponed due to storm).

Not stopping there, The Kop also has a light schedule from now until the beginning of the new year with Leicester, West Ham and the opponent they are used to “bullying” MU. This club can completely break through because they have overcome almost all the toughest opponents.

The easy schedule could also help Salah further improve his scoring record. He is leading the scoring list, 2 goals ahead of Erling Haaland. If he continues to become the top scorer this season, the Egyptian striker will equal Thierry Henry’s feat of becoming the Premier League’s best scorer 4 times.
