Freddie Freeman’s family experienced a year filled with highs and lows. After the All-Star break, Freeman’s son, Maximus, caught an infection which was later diagnosed to be a rare neurological condition, Guillain-Barré syndrome. This rendered his son to be hospitalized for eight days following which he is now on a path to recovery.
However, the family got the much-needed closure, with the first baseman leading the LA Dodgers to their eighth franchise World Series title, homering in the first four games, and winning the MVP of the series.
Now in the offseason, the family is cherishing their time celebrating a year while giving their younger sons Brandon and Maximus their first trip to the iconic Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
On Sunday, Freeman’s wife Chelsea posted a reel on Instagram catching glimpses from their time at an amusement park. It started with a photo from the car followed by the first roller coaster rides and meeting the Mickey Mouse character at the park.

In the reel, Max can be seen walking while holding Freddie’s hand, which means he is getting closer to getting on his feet soon. This is a big development given how it can take a lot on the body to do so after GBS syndrome.
Thanksgiving post from Freddie Freeman and family
Freddie Freeman has not been shy to express their gratitude, especially after Max’s condition which led them to thank many people sending well wishes across. Those prayers and heartwarming messages did help during a tough period for the family.
However, almost four months after Max was discharged, the Freeman family made sure to thank everyone for praying for the good health of their family.
“Thankful now more than ever for good health and our family being together. Happy Thanksgiving from the Freeman Family! 🦃🍁🍽” Chelsea wrote.
With Max’s recovery going on, and Freddie Freeman enjoying the offseason to the fullest, expect the family to go all-out in their Christmas and New Year celebrations.
