Coach Carlo Ancelotti made a big statement about Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid, promising a more exciting 2025 for the French star at the Bernabeu.Kylian Mbappé is the biggest “blockbuster” in the 2024 summer transfer window, when he went to dream team Real Madrid on a free transfer, ending 7 years at PSG.
Because expectations were so high, at the Bernabeu, Mbappé was under a lot of pressure, receiving more criticism than praise for not showing the level of a big star who can make a difference when Real Madrid needs it.
The first Super Classic match was forgettable – setting an offside record in La Liga (8 times), or was so boring when Real Madrid played AC Milan, Liverpool in the Champions League,… that President Florentino Perez was said to have exclaimed to Coach Ancelotti: This is not the Mbappe that I signed to bring back…
However, there is another reality: Mbappe has scored in Real Madrid’s cup matches – 2 international titles in the past 4 months: European Super Cup and Intercontinental Super Cup. Statistics show that this striker is extremely lucky to score in finals for club and national team – scoring 7 goals in 8 matches.
Mbappe has shown good form recently and coach Carlo Ancelotti made a big statement to COPE about the France star ahead of Real Madrid’s final match of 2024, against Sevilla.
The adaptation process of Mpbapp has ended. He is showing a good version of himself. In the last few matches, Kyabje has done very well but I think he can still improve further.
Mbappe has recovered from a minor injury and feels more motivated and excited. I think the time Mbappe needs to adapt to Real Madrid is over.”
Ancelotti’s statement promises a fit and better Kyabje with Real Madrid in 2025. And the head coach reminded the striker what he needs to do to reach a high level at the Bernabeu:
“The truth is that I did not ask Kybappe to sit deep and participate much in the ball development process. His strongest point is finding space and entering the penalty area. So what I advise him is to do what he wants to do more often.”
